DoD Defense Hazardous Materials/Waste Handler Course (Initial) Posted!

This three day initial course on 16 NOV 2022 - 18 NOV 2022 (0800 - 1600) should be taken by military or civilian personnel (and their supervisors) who handle, package, store, transport or manage hazardous material or waste. This course should be taken by those environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene professions, managers, and installation support staff responsible for hazardous material/waste compliance. The curriculum includes a general overview of hazardous material and waste regulations as they relate to handlers` jobs, identification and labeling requirements, health hazards, storage compatibility, spill response, and hazardous waste classification. The course is intended to satisfy the requirement of RCRA (40 CFR 260-265) training for hazardous waste handlers.

COST: Free for Federal DoD employees. Federal non-DoD and Non-Appropriate Funds (NAF) employees or contractors: contact DPW-ENRD.
